Part 1: Introduction and Interview (4-5 minutes).

Part 2: Long Turn (3-4 minutes).

Part 3: Discussion (4-5 minutes).

The examiner will ask you questions related to the topic in Part 2. You will engage in a deeper discussion about the topic, providing extended answers. This part assesses your ability to express opinions, discuss abstract ideas, and provide examples to support your views.

The examiner (classmate) will introduce him/herself and ask you to introduce yourself. You will be asked general questions about familiar topics such as your home, studies, hobbies, and interests. Provide detailed answers and try to speak for about 1-2 minutes in response to each question.

You will receive a task card with a topic and a set of prompts. You will have 1 minute to prepare and take notes on the topic. After the preparation time, you will be required to speak on the topic for 1-2 minutes. You should cover all the points mentioned on the task card. Remember to speak clearly and coherently.

The IELTS Speaking test consists of three parts and typically lasts for about 11 to 14 minutes. Each part assesses different aspects of your speaking skills.

A timer or stopwatch A quiet and distraction-free environment. A device to record or take notes (optional).

Simulate Test Conditions: Try to replicate the actual test conditions as closely as possible. This includes speaking aloud rather than just thinking or writing your responses.
