La Capitale

E’ la capitale dell’Albania dal 1920. Fondata nel 1614 da Sulejman Bargjini. Oggi Tirana non è solo la città più popolosa d’Albania ma anche il più grande centro politico ed economico del paese. Il monte Dajti è vicino alla città mentre il grande parco nazionale con lago artificiale si trova nella parte meridionale della capitale.

PIAZZA SCANDERBERG

TORRE DELL'OROLOGIO

E' una struttura storica religiosa,che in qualche modo è riuscita a sfuggire alla distruzione quando un movimento ateo prese piede in Albania negli anni '60,poi fu costretta a chiudere quando i comunisti governarono il paese.Nel 1992 fu riaperta come luogo di culto

Considerata uno dei principali simboli della città

Dominata dalla grande statua dedicata all'eroe albanese Scanderbeg che sconfisse gli Ottomani, questa piazza per molti anni è stata palcoscenico del regime comunista. Prima che venisse abbattuto dalla folla nel 1991, al suo fianco era presente anche il monumento dedicato al dittatore Enver Hoxha.

Come modifica al progetto originale, la Torre venne ulteriormente aumentata in altezza di 35 metri nel 1928 e sulla cima venne installato l'orologio proveniente dalla Germania.

Dita e Veres-Giorno d'estate

Dita e Veres è molto più di una semplice celebrazione della primavera. È un momento in cui l’Albania si riunisce per onorare le sue radici, celebrare la generosità e rinnovare i legami comunitari.

Il giorno stesso della festa, le case si riempiono di ciuffi d’erba verde, scambiati tra amici e parenti come segno di buon auspicio. I bambini preparano braccialetti con fili rossi e bianchi da donare come segno di affetto e amicizia. Il pranzo del 14 marzo è un momento di convivialità e condivisione, da gustare rigorosamente all’aperto in compagnia di amici e parenti.

THE BLUE EYE

VJOSA-NARTA

Il Blue Eye è una sorgente d'acqua e fonte iniziale del Bistricë, un fiume lungo 25 km che finisce nella sede ionica a sud di Saranda. La sorgente è un fenomeno naturale di almeno 50 metri, che presenta un profondo "buco" di colore blu zaffiro sotto la superficie di acqua turchese più tranquilla

Il castello è un monumento archeologico dal 1948 e fa parte del patrimonio culturale albanese. La storia della sua costruzione è anche molto interessante e ci mostra la storia dell’Albania negli anni.

È un'area di 194,12 chilometri quadrati nel sud-ovest dell'Albania, che comprende la laguna di Narta insieme all'estuario del Vjosë e le aree circostanti. È elencata come un'importante area di uccelli e piante, perché supporta importanti specie di uccelli e piante.

CASTELLO DI BERAT

GORICA BRIDGE

l Castello di Berat è uno dei più antichi castelli dell’Albania, costruito su una roccia alta 187 metri nella sponda destra del fiume Osum. Nel VII secolo a.c., per la sua posizione strategica, divenne un centro cittadino. Nel 216 a.C. viene citata con il nome Antipatrea.

Sotto le pareti verticali del canyon scorre veloce il fiume Osumi. Osumi Il canyon può essere visitato in due modi, attraversando le sue acque in kayak o facendo rafting, oppure via terra, percorrendo la parte superiore delle sue ripide pareti in auto o a piedi.

Il ponte unisce due parti della città:i Gorica e Mangalemi, una di fede a prevalenza cristiana e l'altra a prevalenza musulmana.

SULTAN NEVRUZ

I musulmani sufi festeggiano questa festa, che chiamano "Sultan Nevruz", in quanto credono che in questa data il profeta Maometto abbia ricevuto da Dio l'ordine di diffondere al mondo il suo messaggio

I credenti scambiano le visite e pregano. Al mattino si beve il latte e il succo delle erbe considerate come bevande del paradiso. In questo giorno di festa, i Bektashi seminano fiori nelle loro case o in altri posti come per esempio nei parchi o nelle case degli altri( parenti o amici). Stendono attraverso le porte degli rami di uliveti. Un rituale interessante è che in piena estate vengono appesi rami di rose o di melograno. Vengono cucinati alcuni cibi caratteristici ereditati di generazione in generazione. Si cucinano le torte salate con 12 varietà di erbe. Le piante simboleggiano la nuova vita che germoglia e che prospera. La torta include dentro anche una moneta di metallo. Colui che trova la moneta viene considerato uomo o donna fortunato e avrà un anno prospero .

Questa torta è uno dei dolci più amati a livello locale e si prepara con latte, panna e latte concentrato. In effetti, è proprio a questo che deve il nome che indica “tre latti”.

Si tratta di un cibo che ha visto le sue origini con l’Impero Ottomano. Le sarma sono involtini di foglie di verdura, solitamente verza o cavolo

Queste polpette fritte ,o alla griglia, sono fatte con carne di agnello, manzo o pollo, unita a formaggio feta, aglio, cipolle e foglie di menta.

L’involucro di pasta sfoglia viene riempito con spinaci, carne e formaggio, oppure quello che si preferisce.
