Context

School : Residential area in the central street of Catania. Social context is mixed.

Background: Most of them are into sports and fashion and also do afternoon workshops in the same school. Just a few use to read books at home. They have strong opinions and are keen to discuss and to fight for their rights.

Class

Class: 1st Year

Composition: 18 students of which 9 females, 9 males

Cefr Level: mostly A1 / A2, mixed abilities

Timing: 2 hours

Time of the year: mid of first term

GENERAL BEHAVIOUR/MOTIVATION: Students are responsible and highly motivated, but perky, and get bored easily that need to be constantly engaged in activity.

HETEROGENEITY: Students often tend to form fixed groups, but when the teacher creates mixed groups, they support each other.

BES: 2 students with IEP (L. 104/1992)1 SpLd Student with dyslexia (L. 170/2010)
