ENIAC
The ENIAC, an acronym for Electronic Numerical Integrator Analyzer and Computer, was the first large-scale electronic computer, developed by American scientists John Eckert and John Mauchly in 1946, during the Second World War, and 500 thousand dollars were spent on its construction.
Created at the request of the US army, it was with its launch that a revolution occurred in the world of computing. It had a processing capacity of 5,000 operations per second and had more than 17,000 thermionic valves with 160W of power.
The computer was so large that an entire room was needed to install it, as it weighed 30 tons and occupied 180 m². Its operating system worked through a team of army employees, with the aim of carrying out precise calculations for tactical trajectories that would be followed.

Microsoft
n the late 1970s, Bill Gates founded Microsoft, which also continued to develop personal computers. At first, Gates applied ideas from other machines to build his own, but he also developed one of the first, and most successful, operating systems, MS-DOS, with characteristics similar to the systems developed by Steve Jobs.
Therefore, Bill Gates created a partnership with Jobs, copying all of the Macintosh's graphics technology to a new operating system: Windows. Thus, in the mid-80s, the company became the leader in the personal computer market.
Social media
The arrival of social networks has revolutionized the way people relate and communicate. The year 2004 marked the popularity of social networks such as Orkut, Google, Facebook, Youtube and Myspace. Mark Zuckerberg's creation, Facebook, took the lead globally and today has more than 2.94 billion users. Youtube, in 2005, brought a platform with a definitive solution for producing, editing, sharing and making videos available. With more than 1 billion users, the social network has opened the doors to new professions and a new way of consuming content.
