September-October, 1939
After successfully invading Poland, Hitler turned his attention to France. Wanting to reclaim German territory lost at the Treaty of Versailles, the Nazis invaded northern France. After successfully invading France, Hitler turned his attention to Britain, who had entered the war to aid France. The Germans took to the skies, utilizing their Luftwaffe, in an attempt to invade Britain.

Though Germany and the USSR had signed the Nazi-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact, Hitler violated the agreement when he began Operation Barbarossa. His desire to invade the Soviet Union was furthering his plans of increasing the Soviet empire.
