The palace

The palace at Tikal consisted of large and impressive buildings. It functioned as the city's royal family's residence and was at the city's centre.

Ball court

The ball court was used to play a game where a rubber ball was passed through a hoop or used to hit markers. The players could not use their hands. The Maya ball game represented battles between gods!
