- June 28th 1930 in Vereeniging, South Africa - Muslim Indian family of activists : close to Ghandi - Communist influence by her tutor - She stopped the school to get a job in politics - She has two children -January 31st 2013 in Johannesburg, South Africa

1954 : creation of Federation of South African Women & she was the treasurer leading support of Federation of Ttransvaal Women August 9th 1955 : women march in Pretoria to protest against the government After the treason trial, she spent 15 years in house arrest.
