- June 28th 1930 in Vereeniging, South Africa- Muslim Indian family of activists : close to Ghandi- Communist influence by her tutor- She stopped the school to get a job in politics - She has two children -January 31st 2013 in Johannesburg, South Africa
BIOGRAPHY
Member of the United Democratic FrontElected to the National Assembly of South Africain 1994
1954 : creation of Federation of South African Women & she was the treasurer leading support of Federation of Ttransvaal Women August 9th 1955 : women march in Pretoria to protest against the governmentAfter the treason trial, she spent 15 years in house arrest.
