In high school, I was a dynamic mix of interests and quirks that defined my adolescence. My style was a mix of jeans, t-shirts and sneakers, use uniforms, something comfortable since I lived in the country. My behavior was very responsible and I was the best student in my class, my personality was always to be collaborative and respectful with everyone. Academically, I found passion in my Arts, Physical Education, and Chemistry classes. Although my social life was very fun, I had many friends to share and play with. Outside of the school I liked to participate in basketball, micro-soccer and dancing championships with my friends. For me, high school was the most wonderful stage of because of the moments shared with my classmates, extraordinary people, two of whom are no longer with us, but I remember them with great affection, this stage of my life, it defines the foundation upon which I continue to build my journey today.

Before I did not have much knowledge about the environmental impact that our actions can cause, that is why now I take great care of water, saving it so as not to waste it. For example, I turn off the water faucet when I brush my teeth.
I turn off the lights when there is natural light
I organize the garbage according to its origin and place it in the indicated bags.
I do not use aerosol products as this causes damage to the ozone layer.
When I go out for a walk I always carry a bag to put the trash in.
I use canvas bags to go to the supermarket to avoid being given plastic bags.
Taking care of our planet is the task of all of us to have a better future

MARICRUZ: First, what do you think is your greatest achievement in your community? TERESA: I must make efforts to help my neighborhood by promoting environmental education events to take care of the environment of our neighborhood, carrying out citizen awareness campaigns.
MARICRUZ: What advice would you give to people who wanted to be like you in your region? TERESA: I will tell people that they must be humble, committed, responsible, collaborative and companionate. They must have and promote good values as people and always remain at the service of the community, seeking a common good. MARICRUZ: Where do you get your inspiration from? TERESA: My family is my greatest inspiration, since it is the basis of society and also God because he gave me a second chance at life, which is why I want to help my community
