Martișor is a small ornament tied to a string woven from a white and a red thread, which appears in the tradition of Romanians and some neighboring populations. Along with Martisor, early spring flowers are often offered, the most representative being the snowdrop. The Martisor custom was included in UNESCO's List of Elements of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity[1] in 2017, as "cultural events associated with the celebration of March 1", proposed in a collective file by Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Moldova and Romania.
