Les points sont obtenus selon : le niveau de maîtrise de leurs acquis scolaires évalué par rapport à l’échelle de référence du cycle 3 : Le décompte des points s’effectue ainsi pour chacune des quatre composantes du domaine 1 « les langages pour penser et communiquer » et pour chacun des autres domaines de formation du socle commun de connaissances, de compétences et de culture établi conformément à l’article D. 122-3 du code de l’éducation : - 10 points si le candidat obtient le niveau 1 « Maîtrise insuffisante » ; - 20 points s’il obtient le niveau 2 « Maîtrise fragile » ; - 25 points s’il obtient le niveau 3 « Maîtrise satisfaisante » ; - 30 points s’il obtient le niveau 4 « Très bonne maîtrise ». Et une épreuve orale, commune à tous les candidats, notée sur 160 points. L'évaluation de leurs acquis est établie au cours de leur formation par leurs enseignants : le niveau de maîtrise attendu pour chacune des composantes du premier domaine et pour chacun des quatre autres domaines du socle commun de connaissances, de compétences et de culture doit être au moins égal à l'échelon « maîtrise satisfaisante » de l'échelle de référence du cycle 3. Ces candidats ayant suivi une scolarité de cycle 4, leurs acquis scolaires référencés aux attendus de fin de cycle 4 sont également mentionnés via leur livret scolaire unique. Ils sont pris en compte pour l'attribution du diplôme.
