• Practice procedure
• Rhythm reading
• Developing all major scales
• Reading in cut time and 6/8
• Articulation and tone at the individual and ensemble level
• Beginning ear training and solfege

Grading

• No Pencil = 1 point
• No Music/ Book= 5 points
• No Instrument = 10 points
• No Instrument <3= Sessiom
• Cell Phone Warning= 5 points
• Cell Phone Confiscated= 10 points
• Cell Phone Confiscated 3 times= session

Grading

• Bi Weekly participation grades for class
• Projects in addition to practicing ensemble repertoire

• Late work will be accepted in this course because students are graded on a portfolio bases

• Wednesday, December 18th at 7pm in SHS auditorium
• Pajama Concert
• Wednesday, March 5th at 6:30pm in OMS Cafe
• Spring Concert
• Friday, May 16th at 7pm in SHS Auditorium
• Graduation
• Thursday, June 5th at 5:30pm at SHS

Required Attendance

• Concert Attendance is mandatory. Failure to attend a concert will result in your highest possible grade being a 70 for the term in which the concert takes place
