Asthma Attack
ASTHMA SYMPTOMS

Coughing
Difficulty breathing
Chest pain

Procedure
To help someone with an asthma attack
Protect the victim, take care of them
Alert someone as soon as possible
Support the victim until help arrives
STEPS TO FOLLOW (victim):
- Sit up straight
- Take one puff of your reliever inhaler (usually blue) every 30 to 60 seconds up to 10 puffs
- Try to keep calm
STEPS TO FOLLOW (Helper):
- Try to reassure the victim
- Make sure the victim has their reliever inhaler and are properly taking it every 30 to 60 seconds up to 10 puffs
- Make sure the victim is safe and still breathing
- If they're not getting better, call for help
