Los cuerpos redondos se forman al girar una cierta figura alrededor de una recta llamada eje. Los más sencillos son el cilindro, el cono y la esfera. Es el cuerpo que se forma al girar un rectángulo alrededor de uno de sus lados. en los que la generatriz no es perpendicular al círculo de la base.
