Guess the ANA Pattern!
Cytoplasmic (Ribosomal)
Cytoplasmic (Mitrochondrial)
Polar/Golgi-Like
Cytoplasmic (Mitochondrial)
- The pattern will characteristically have numerous cytoplasmic speckles with the highest concentration in the peri-nuclear area.
- The pattern can be observed in interphase and mitotic cells and is associated with antimitochondrial antibodies (AMA).
- The clinical significance of AMA is most frequently an association with Primary Biliary Cholangitis (Cirrhosis), especially when the AMA is a high titer.

Primary Biliary Cholangitis (Cirrhosis)
Primary Biliary Cholangitis (Cirrhosis) is an autoimmune disease in which body's immune system mistakenly attacks healthy cells and tissue in the bile ducts, causing inflammation. This can lead to permanent scarring of liver tissue, called cirrhosis and can eventually lead to liver failure.
Patients with Primary Biliary Cholangitis can experience symptoms like jaundice, splenomegaly and bone/muscle/joint pain.

ZEUS IFA ANA Solutions
Antinuclear antibody (ANA) immunofluorescent testing aids in diagnosing lupus and monitors treatment progress through titer regression.* As a pioneer in immunofluorescence assay (IFA) technology, Sebia AI-ID has continually delivered quality and expertise in autoimmune serology that laboratories have relied upon since 1976. Our proprietary cell fixation process allows users to work with cells containing natural, unaltered antigens, resulting in simplified, easy-to-read patterns.
ZEUS dIFine System
Sebia Autoimmune & Infectious Diseases (Sebia AI-ID) is taking your ANA IFA testing to the next level by pairing our top tier IFA ANA HEp-2 slides with our dIFine® system, the next generation in IFA imaging and pattern recognition.
