George Washington He was the first president of the United States and is known as the “Father of the Nation.” Presidency: (1789-1797)

Barack Obama He was the forty-fourth president. He became the first African American to be elected president of the United States. Presidency: (2009-2017)

Franklin D. Roosevelt He was the thirty-second president. He marked the beginning of the end of the Great Depression in the United States. Presidency; (1933-1945)

Andrew Jackson He was the seventh president. He was the founder of the Democratic Party. He was the nation’s first populist president. Presidency: (1829-1837)

Bill Clinton During the presidency of William Jefferson Clinton, the United States experienced more peace and prosperity than at any other time in its history. Presidency: (1993-2001)

Woodrow Wilson He was the twenty-eighth president. He ordered the occupation of the port of Veracruz in April 1914. Presidency: (1913-1921)

Theodore Roosevelt He was the twenty-sixth president. He was one of the famous US Presidents and was also the youngest president in history. Presidency: (1901-1909)

James Madison He was the fourth president, he contributed to the writing of the United States Constitution. He was the creator of the first republican party. Presidency: (1809-1817)

James K. Polk He was the eleventh president. Polk increased the size of the United States, thanks to the Mexican-American War’s acquisition of California and New Mexico. Presidency: (1845-1949)

Thomas Jefferson He was the third president of the United States of America and he was the principal author of the United States Declaration of Independence. Presidency: (1801-1809)
