• Signifigance: Acts as a central point of contact for avionics programs within the 60th AMW.

Wing Avionics Manager:

• Manages avionics interactions between Program Managers (PM), Major Combatant Commands (MAJCOMs), Lead Commands, Wings, and Operations/Maintenance.

• Ensures compliance with Air Force Instructions (AFI) guidelines for software configuration updates and classified equipment storage.

• Coordinates avionics manning, Identification Friend or Foe, Radar Warning Receiver programs, Electronic Warfare programs, and cybersecurity matters.

• Tracks and coordinates shipments of Electronic Counter Measures, electronic attack, and sensor pods.

• Strategic Leadership: Responsible for implementing near- and midterm goals and for developing the plans and processes used by the lower level airmen.

• Example: Creating a plan that subordinates can coherently follow and implement to ensure mission effectiveness/success.
