What is my dream job?
My dream job is to be a wildlife veterinarian. Wildlife veterinarians focus on clinical medicine and the health of individual animals. Free-ranging wildlife veterinarians focus on the health of wildlife populations and ecosystem health.
What would I need to study? How long does that career last?
Most free-ranging wildlife veterinarians working for state and federal wildlife agencies have a graduate degree in wildlife ecology or a related field. To become a wildlife veterinarian you need to go to college for four years and attend a veterinary school. Once you have completed that, you will need to study Zoo med for as long as five years.
Which are the duties of a wildlife vet?
Some of the duties of a wildlife vet are examine, diagnose, treat illnesses or injuries in wild animals, educate the public on the importance of preserving wildlife, etc.
Where would you be able to work at? Salary?
The wildlife vets work in different areas, from hospitals and pet clinics to farms, natural parks,in wildlife recovery centers and wildlife recovery centers. The earn of a wildlife vet in Europe is 18,200 euros, but rises to 24,024 euros in the highest category.
What got you interested in that job / career?
I am interested in this job because I like animals and I would like to help save many endangered species.
