I visited my old friend Roderick Usher in his ancient stone house, where I sensed death. His sister, Lady Madeline, had recently passed away, and we had laid her to rest in a dark and damp vault within the palace. Observing her face, I noticed the siblings looked almost identical. Usher explained that they were born on the same day, and their bond was powerful.
