OVIEDO

This is our neighborhood, it is about 20 minutes' walk from the centre.

Some things to do in oviedo

  • You can play basketball at San Francisco park and you can also go skateboarding there.
  • You can practice different sports at Parque de Invierno and go jogging to Pista Finlandesa.
  • Los Prados is a shopping centre with cinemas. It is a good place to expend an evening with your friends.
  • You have lots of sports centres like Teatinos, El Palacio de los Deportes...

Alfonso II High school

This is my High School. We do many activityes here and not only exams and there are people of differen parts of the world. It is located in the centre of the city and many people catch the bus to go to this High School.

Campoamor Theatre

In this theatre you can see the zarzuela or the opera and you will go there in many high school outings. It is a very beautiful place where many tourists take photos.

Hotel de la Reconquista

This is the most famous hotel in the city where Princess of Asturias Awards laureates stay.

Uría street

Uría street is the most important and famous street in the city. There are always many people in this street and you can go shoppinng, have a meal or go walking.

Plaza del Fontán

It is one of the biggets atractions in the city. This square takes its name from the fountain that filled the place. On Thursdays and Saturdays there is a market place here where you can hear market sellers shouting their bargains.

The Cathedral

The Cathedral is one of the most famous buildings in the city. Its style is Gothic.

The City Hall

The most important wall entrance of the old city is located here. Every night the City Hall is iluminated. At Christmas time it is decorated with Christmas lights.

San Francisco Park

This is the most beautiful park in the city. During the year lots of activities take place here like ice-skating in winter, martes de campo or San Mateo.
