Who is my Dad?

My father's name is Rui Martins. Right now, he's 45 years old, but in March 24 he'll be 46. He was born in Portugal, in 1978. He's a chef, and he's now working in restaurant chain in Porto.

Career

My dad always loved and always worked in the field of gastronomy, he started working in part-time, but in 2008 he started working full time in this field. He started his career by opening a food catering business with my mom and some friends. During his career he has worked in Pestana, a hotel chain, he has been a teacher in universitys and he has worked in multiple restaurants, right now he is working in Porto, for Brasão.

During his career he has won some awards like Chef do Ano, in 2016, and he has been a judge in some food contest too. He also goes to some food events.

Routine

Week days

Rest days

During my father's rest days, he usually gets up at 7 o'clock, me and my dad have breaksfast together, he also, takes me to horse riding, listens to reports and goes shopping. Sometimes we go to the mall or to my grandparents house. during the afternoon he cleans the house or finishes some work. Then we have dinner and he takes me home.

Usually, my dad wakes up at 5 o'clock, has a small breakfast, takes a shower, brushes his teeth and gets dressed. When he finishes all this, he goes to his car and drives to work, he normally arrives at half past seven. He normally goes to the production kitchen, but sometimes he goes to the restaurants if necessary. He has lunch and dinner at work and he arrives home at around midnight.

Hobbies

My dad's favourites hobbies are reading, he reads a lot about cooking and psychology and behavioral books. He also likes hanging out with his friends and family and cooking for the ones he loves.

Why I did this work abou my dad?

I chose to do this work about my dad, because since he was teenager he was in love with cooking, and after 16 years or more and even after all the dificulties, he always did his best to do what he loves and he never quitted. My dad inspires me a lot, and I really like him. And that's why I did this work about him.
