Agatha Christie was one of England's most famous writers. Her crimes and detective stories became famous for their clever plots, is known all over the world as the "Queen of Crime". She wrote 78 detective novels, 19 plays and 6 romantic novels., 2 books of poetry, a children's book and 2 autobiographies. Her books have been transleted into 103 foreign languages. They are the third best-selling books in the world (after Shakespeare´and the Bible).

A difficult Period

Agatha mother died and her husband revealed that he was in a relationship with another woman. Traumatized by the revelation, Agatha disappeared only to be discovered by authorities several days later at a Harrogate hotel, with no memory.

Agatha published her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles.During her marriage to Christie, Agatha published novels, and a collection of short stories.

She married Archibald Christie, a pilot of the Royal Flight Corps.Joins the Voluntary Aid Detachment as a nurse. She also worked as a pharmacist in a pharmacy.
