The purpose of this tool is to provide tracking, measuring and communication regarding key aspects of education and learning which will inform and drive SDS strategy, policy and practice.

Partnership working is integral to the success of the model and in addressing the wider factors that may affect participation in sport & physical activity e.g. income, location, holding more than one protected characteristic.
- Open: Everyone takes part with no modification
- Modified: Activities are modified for the person with a disability within the existing group
- Parallel: Participants are grouped by ability and take part in similar activities to suit ability levels
- Specific: Activities that are specific to people with disabiities & separate from mainstream activity.
The Activity Inclusion Model - Inclusive for Everyone
The Activity Inclusion Model ensures a person-centred approach to inclusion in sport. We consider factors that affect inclusion in sport: the Setting; the Activity; the person's Impairment; and (most importantly) their Ability. This helps us determine which method will suit best:
