Yesterday, Emily and I (go) to a job interview. The employer (be) really upset because we (arrive) late. We (try) to explain him that it (be) because of the bus, but he (not / want) to hear anything. I (think) I could convince him by apologizing, but nothing (work) . When we (get) back home, we immediately (start) searching for other job interviews. After all, we (not / have) many other options! Yet, we (be) really disappointed.
