How To Make a PB&J
scoop + Spread the peanut butter
Add the jelly to one slice of bread, then add the peanut butter to the other slice. After putting the slices together, with the PB and J facing each other, it's ready to eat!
Put the filling-sides of the slices together
ENJOY
Pro Tip: Spread Your Jelly First
Why Jelly First?
- It’s easier to swipe the jelly clean off the knife than to wipe off sticky peanut butter.
- You avoid peanut butter bits getting stuck in your jar of jelly.
Spreading Filling on Bread
- Scoop the filling out of its jar (in this case, PB or J)
- Place the knife on the bread with the filling facing down against the bread
- Gently drag the knife across the bread from end to end
Skills Practice
Use your palm as the slice of bread.
Use your index finger as the knife + filling.
Wipe your index finger along your palm to practice "spreading" the filling.
Skills Practice
