Explotation of the natural environment
The human is the only living being capable of carrying out transformations on the environment that surrounds him

Types of pollution
Pollution is the addition of harmful substances to a given medium (air, water of land) There are severa types of pollution that we will talk about now.
Gloria Suárez
Air pollution
It is the result of the emission of polluting gases (carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide or hydrogen monoxide) due to the use of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) •Causes and consequences of climate change Causes: are human activities that increase the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Consequences: the average temperature of the planet is being caused to increase and global warming is occurring. •Acid rain Components that we release from the atmosphere causing dangerous compounds such as sulfuric acid or nitric acid that when falling with rain can cause the destruction of plant species or pollution of rivers and lakes. •The hole of the ozone layer It occurs when the gases emitted into the atmosphere react with ozone, making it disappear, causing ultraviolet rays to not be filtered.
Gloria Suárez
Water pollution
Water pollution refers to the introduction of harmful or contaminating substances into bodies of water, such as rivers, lakes, oceans, or underground aquifers. Causes: - Discharge of industrial and residential waste - Intensive agriculture - Oil spills - Urban stormwater runoff - Mining - Deforestation - Climate change Consequences: • Loss of aquatic biodiversity • Contamination of drinking water • Impact on the food chain • Destruction of aquatic ecosystems • Impact on the economy • Water scarcity
Daniela García
Soil pollution is the presence in the soil of harmful or contaminating substances or agents, such as chemicals, heavy metals, industrial waste, or organic waste. Causes: -Industrial waste dumping -Intensive agriculture +Dumping of garbage and solid waste -Leaching of contaminants -Mining practices -Chemical spills -Urban activities Consequences: -Degradation of soil quality -Loss of biodiversity -Water pollution -Impact on human health -Loss of fertile soils -Harm to wildlife -Economic costs

Radioactive contamination
Radioactive contamination is caused by the artificial increase of The amount of radiation in the atmosphere. Causes: -Atomic bomb explosions. -Mishandling of nuclear waste. -Nuclear accidents. Consequences: -Daña las células del ADN. -Produce defectos genéticos afectando a próximas generaciones. -A altas dosis, puede ser letal. -Anemia. -Leucemia. -Infertilidad. -Debilita el sistema inmune.
Noise pollution
Noise pollution consists of raising noise levels above what is considered healthy.Causes of noise pollution • Car traffic. • Air traffic. • Construction works. • Catering and nightlife. • Animals Consequences: Respiratory agitation, acceleration of the pulse, increased blood pressure, headache and, in the face of extreme and constant sounds, gastritis, colitis or even heart attacks.

Deforestation and desertification
Deforestation refers to the cutting down of a forest, eliminating it completely, to make room for something else in its place. The main cause of deforestation is unsustainable and illegal agriculture that gives rise to cash crops such as palm oil and rubber. It is the phenomenon that occurs naturally when rainfall is considerably lower than normal recorded levels, causing an acute water imbalance that harms the earth's resource production systems. The main human activities that drive desertification are: -Deforestation, whose causes go beyond the mere felling of trees, which increases the risk of fires, among others. -Bad agricultural practices, from crops without rotation to unprotected soils or the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, etc. -The overexploitation of natural resources as a consequence, for example, of irresponsible management of vegetation or water. Poor livestock practices, such as overgrazing, which seriously erode the land and prevent the regeneration of vegetation.

Sustainable development
Sustainable development is called development that is capable of satisfying current needs without compromising the resources and possibilities of future generations. Intuitively, a sustainable activity is one that can be maintained. •Natural resources are limited • Renewable resources such as water can be depleted by pollution • The needs of the economy tend to grow faster than ecosystems • Resources, whether renewable or not, are not distributed equitably across the planet.
