What are discussion circles?

Discussion Circles are discussions you will have about a particular reading or listening. You'll have different roles like summarizer, discussion leader, vocabulary master, or devil's advocate. You will participate in five discussions this session. This assessment is worth 15% of your final grade.

Your role is to critically evaluate the listening or reading using the strategies we are learning in class.

You summarize the reading or listening and presents their summary to the group for discussion.

Your role is to provide an alternative view to the listening or reading.

You create discussion questions and lead the conversation.
