GAME GENERAL AIM:
SS will be able to analyze and implement simple sentences to express preferences about activities.
IMPORTANCE:
This game look for students to build a foundation for real-life exposure. Expressing likes and dislikes is one of the first abilities learners need when starting to interact socially, whether in class, with friends, or in everyday contexts. Additionally:
- It boosts motivation because students talk about topics they care about.
- It supports accuracy, preventing early fossilization of incorrect structures.
- It promotes fluency because the sentences are simple and repetitive, which helps automatic use.
- It creates opportunities for interaction, essential for communicative language learning.
mastering preferences prepares students for future tasks involving opinions, agreements/disagreements, comparisons, routines, and hobbies—skills they will repeatedly need throughout their English learning journey.

Instructions:
Look at the sentences on the board. Read and pay attention to the structure:Subject + like/don’t like + activity (verb+ing)
We use the expressions:
I like/I don't (do not) like + verb, to talk about the activities we prefer. Those things we enjoy doing or not.
the meanings of the most common verbs we use are: - Eating:Comer
- Washing the hands:Lavarse las manos
- Dancing:Bailar
- Swimming:Nadar
- Singing:Cantar
- Playing:Jugar
It is important to know that when we talk about the activities we like or not the verb which contains the activity must end with -ing, if not, it is not correct.
For example:
For the subjects: I, You, We, They we use: like / don’t like and for He,she, it: likes / doesn’t like
- I like dancing.
- You like reading.
- He/She likes cooking.
- It doesn't like swimming.
- We don’t like singing.
