SAMPLING DISTRIBUTION OF SAMPLE MEAN
- is a frequency distribution using the mean computed from all possible random samples of a specific size taken from a population. The means of the samples are less than or greater than the mean of the population.
SAMPLING ERROR
- is the difference between the sample mean and sample population.
STEPS in constructing sampling distributions of the mean
> Determine the number of set of all possible random samples hthat can be drawn from the given population by using the formula , wheren N - population size and n - sample size.
> List all possible samples and compute the mean of each samples.
> Construct the sampling distribution
> Construct a histogram of the sampling distributin of the means.
