01. DEFINITION

A training video is a type of video content that is used to teach individuals or groups a new skill or expand their understanding of a particular topic.

These can be used in the corporate world to facilitate employee training, in the customer service world to educate customers about how to use a specific product, and in countless other scenarios as well.

02. ADVANTAGES

  • The flexibility and versatility it offers is unlimited. It can be viewed as many times as necessary, and anywhere.
  • The information displayed in a video is retained much more easily than content read or listened to, face to face.
  • This format enhances the will to continue learning, to create visual and entertaining content and increases the chances of completing the training successfully.
  • Video training is cost-effective.
  • Online videos engage employees better compared to texts and other traditional training methods.
  • Allows you to condense a lot of information in a short period of time, adapting to any agenda and calendar.

03. DISADVANTAGES

  • You may get bored with the videos.
  • You have to have a lot of self discipline since you do it alone.
  • Dependence on technologies or the internet.
  • You cannot solve specific questions.
  • If the image and sound of the tutorial video are not good, that is, if it does not look good and cannot be heard clearly, the quality of the content may decrease.
