Instructions for in the cave: Before you click to move further down a tunnel or enter a new room, or click to go back a space, you must complete 1 lap around the perimeter of this darkened room. Lose 1 water resource card for every lap you complete around the room. Different rooms & tunnels of the cave will have different options & instructions. Make sure you read the info thoroughly. Also, if you click something and it pops up a window, click the same thing to hide the window again after reading it. Will you check out the roots of the trees, look under the rocks, search the skeletons lying about or go into the cave? Be careful!!!!

You find a hidden spring under this root. Your group drinks from it. Each person raises their health meter by 3.

You trip on the root and hit your head hard. Wait 5 minutes before doing anything else.

A scorpion runs out and stings you. Lower your health meter by 1.

Under the skeletal remains, you find a note: "Don't pull the rope!"

Nothing here but dirt.

As you search the remains, you cut a finger on the bones. The cut doesn't heal for 5 days. Lose 1 health meter tally every day for 5 days.

You stub your toe. Lower your health meter by 1.

You find a canteen full of water (take 4 resource cards of water with you).

As you approach the altar with flames, the burning gets brighter and illuminates a map on the wall, showing several paths with markings and notes. None of it is legible except the first one with the right most path marked with an X.

Do you shoo the spider, pick up a paper, pick up the candle, or just leave?

You shoo the spider away and it bites you - Lower your health meter by 1. As it leaves, you find a potion- Health Herald's Brew - Give 3 health to a person you choose (not the person who drinks it).

The paper shows a map that indicates a path: Enter, go straight, then right, then across the bridge and down. As you set the paper down, the spider bites you. Lower your health by 1.

You pick up the candle and use it to start a small fire with the papers on the ground to warm yourself, raise your health meter by one. If you picked up the candle first, you may NOT click on the paper (since you burned it already).

Do you pull the rope on the far left. Or turn the handle on the right? You may only choose ONE & click it.

As you turn the handle, the middle of the contraption begins to lift. You see a potion lying inside. It is the "Hunger's Halt Philtre" - Don't need food/water for 3 days. Decide who drinks it and then leave the bottle here.

As you pull the rope, the whole thing begins to unwind. But then it starts to magically wrap itself around you, tying you up tightly. It takes you a long time to become untangled from it. Stay here for 15 minutes.

If you decide to cross the bridge, find the setup of the Ropes. Each person must walk the path of the ropes without touching any. If a person touches a rope, they lose 1 health & must start again. If they touch the ropes 4 times, it triggers the momentary collapse of the bridge--they fall & are stuck here the rest of the day. Anyone who crosses safely may continue.

As you stare at the glyphs, your eyes blur - or is it the images. Suddenly the writings start to take shapes and you stand mesmerized as the images weave in and out and change shape. When it finishes, you realize you've been standing here staring at the wall for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, you shake yourself as if waking from a long daze and then continue your search.

Searching the vase, distrubs the poisonous powder inside. Smelling it causes you to pass out for 10 minutes.

As you pick up the disk, you sense that it has magical powers. Holding it creates a sense of internal power and invulnerability.While holding this disk, all negative consequences in the room have no affect on you. You cannot take the disk with you further into the cave.

You find several gold coins on the floor. You take a moment to collect them. You find a total of 7.

As you pick up what you thought was a rope, you realize that the part you touched was actuallly a snake. It bites you and slithers away. Lower your health by 2.

To move along the bridge and staircases, you must CLICK on each step you would actually walk. You cannot skip more than one step at a time. Step carefully.

Select the option on this large dais that matches the correct position of the wooden circular disks. The options below show two rows next to each other. There is only one possible correct setting.

You chose wrong. A powerful emergy is released into the room. Vivid illusions of your past trauma & worst fears begin to play out across the walls of the cave. Each person experiences their own horrors and psychological effects. This lasts for 5 minutes and then passes.

You chose wrong. A secret compartment on the dais opens and a volley of arrows shoots towards you. You duck and they miss your vital parts, but two arrows find their mark. (Choose two members of your group to lose 2 health. Or one person loses 3 health.)

You are brought into the depths of despair listening to the ghost tell stories of its past, and banishment to the cave. Move your health meter down one.

A mouse jumps out and bites you, lower your health meter by 2.

This was a cursed tool. When you touched it, your hand stuck. You cannot click on anything or move anywere for 5 minutes.

You can undo any one of the clicks you take while going through the cave.

By activating this symbol, your group gains the ability to merge with shadows and move through them undetected for a time. This shadow-walking ability allows you to bypass the physical mechanisms of the NEXT booby trap you face by slipping through gaps or bypassing obstacles without triggering alarms. (You can click on anything on the next booby trap without negative effects until you find the positive option for the booby trap.)

By clicking on this, your group may drop through the pool to the next layer of the cave without any negative consequences.

STAY

Do you stay and try to disarm the trap or leave immediately? Click "Stay" or "Go Back"

The spiders swarm you and crawl all over you but seem harmless. As they scurry and scuttle around and over you, you move forward to try to disarm the trap. Do you turn the handle of the rope, pull the small lever or try to unhook the chain?

As you release the hook, the trap springs shut, startling the spiders. They become agitated and swarm you, biting you all over. Lower your health by 4.

As you pull the small lever, the bottom of the trap lifts. Inside you find a stash of food and water. Raise your health by 2, and take as much food & water as you can carry with you.

As you turn the handle, the trap's mechanism groans and strains as it gets tighter and tighter. Fearing the worst, you run away before anything bad can happen. Click "Go Back" and leave.

Inside the mess of logs, ropes & spikes, you see several potion bottles. You hope to be able to get one to help you survive. Do you dare reach in? Click on an opening to try to reach in and grab a potion.

Congratulations! You reached into a safe opening. The potion you found is the Event Evader Elixir--Bypass a negative event of your choice. As you lift it out, you realize that the bottle is cracked and the potion is leaking out. There is only enough left for 1 person but it needs to be drank NOW.

The spikes impale your arm. Lower your health meter by 3. And you cannot use that arm for the rest of today.

As you reach inside, you see the spikes start to move. You quickly pull your hand out but get a deep gash along your arm. Lower your health by 1.

Congratulations! You reached into a safe opening. The potion you found is the Health Herald's Brew - Give 3 health to a person you choose. Can be used now or saved for later.

Your arm gets stuck. It takes you 5 minutes to wiggle your arm free. Wait 5 minutes and then you can try again.

A scorpion that you didn't see stings you as you reach inside. Lower your health by 2.

If you did not pick up (click on) the item in the room above that had the same symbol as the blood pool, you are affected by the cursed symbol and are stunned for 10 minutes. Wait 10 min before you do anything else.

As you reach in the hole, a bat flies out and scares you half to death! Jump in fright & move on.

As you move the skull, a giant spider appears and bites you. Lower your health meter by 1.

As you reach in the hole, you get a handful of spiderwebs. Wipe your hand on your pants several times to clean it off.

You find an old potion bottle and drink it. You realize that it is poison instead. Lower your health by 5.

You begin to unwrap it to see what it is and realize it is a bloodied, dismembered limb. You immediately throw it back down on the ground and scream!!!!

You examine the bones of the skeleton and notice a pouch lying underneath the tailbone. You pick it up and search it. There is a knife and you cut your fingers. Lower your health by 2.

Disturbing the pool releases the spirits in this room. If you picked up (clicked on) the item in the room above that had the same symbol as the blood pool, the spirits are released & grant you 2 health in gratitude. If you did not pick up the tool, the spirits are agitated and attack you. Lower your health by 2.

As you reach in the hole, you get a bit by something. Lower your health by 1.

CLICK HERE... The myriad ghosts haunting the walls, moan and lament their untimely horrific deaths. Many were lost here in the cave. Their voices undulate in rising & falling tones. You cannot pick out one over the other and the cacophony of stories and sounds is overwhelming. You cover your ears to muffle the sound, but the effect is transferred to your heart and soul - causing an eerie feeling and a heart wrenching ache. Lower your health by 1 and complete the next lap in agony from the wailing.

As you fall down this hole, you break your leg and lose your pouch with any remaining food & water. Lower your health to a level 1. Despite all of your efforts, you cannot find a way out.

In the middle of the dais, you see a stash of potions. Do you attempt to retrieve them? If so, which direction do you go?

As you step up onto the platform, a path seems to appear on the tiles. As you follow it, you safely make it to the dais.Resting your hand on the dais, it begins to move and the stash of potions is shifted to within your reach. Receive the following potions: 1. Mortal's Respite Brew - Damage only counts half for one day. 2. Islander's Instant Voyage Vial - One free trip to any of the Outer islands. 3. Lifeforce Lender Libation - Healer; +7 health.

As you step up onto the platform, an unending volley of arrows is shot towards you. The volley doesn't cease and it is not safe to stay in this room. You leave immediately.Lower your health by 2 from getting hit.

As you step up onto the platform, the platform gives way underneath you and you fall to the bottom of the pit.Lower your health by 1. It takes you 10 minutes to climb out of the pit.
