- Un chariot élévateur à mât télescopique est muni d’un volant, d’une transmission, d’un accélérateur et de freins.
- Sa conduite est assez similaire à celle d’une automobile. Néanmoins, il est primordial de se familiariser à la conduite d’un tel engin dont la taille peut sembler imposante à première vue.
- L’opérateur doit constamment être attentif à son environnement et porter attention aux nombreux angles morts de ce type de chariot élévateur.

Driving SPEED
1. Adjust the speed of the truck in the work area when pedestrians are present, depending on visibility, ground surface conditions (wet, dusty, icy, etc.) and the load;
2. At all times, drive the truck at a speed that allows it to be stopped safely.
3. Avoid braking or accelerating abruptly when turning.
4. Avoid changing drive modes while moving. Drive modes should be changed while the truck is stationary.
Gear shift
With some forklift models, such as Merlo's, the gears must be changed when the forklift is stationary.
