Why are dental prostheses important?
Definition
They are a dental specialty, it is involves the repair or replacement of one or more teeth. Prosthetics come in several different forms .
Because they bring well-being to those who need it, the mouth regains its functionality and also becomes aesthetically beautiful again.

- They wear out with daily use and may need to be replaced or repaired over time
- They can be expensive
- They improve the patient’s appearance
- They improve chewing and speaking ability
- They help maintain bone structure and prevent bone loss

There are two types of dentures. Partial dentures replace the upper or lower set of teeth. Full dentures replace all patients teeth can be fixed or removable . They are usually made from plasctic resins or porcelain.
These address a number of cosmetic issues. They provide an artificial front to an existing tooth.
Veneers
They are titanium screws and they are attached to a patient´s jawbone. They act like the root of a tooth and they form a base for various prosthetic appliances.

They are a way of replacing missing teeth. Bridges can be fixed or removable.
