MACBETH TIMELINE BY zoE L

"All hail Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Glamis! All hail Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor! All hail Macbeth that shalt be king hereafter!"

"Fly, good Fleance, fly, fly, fly! Thous mayst revenge. O slave!" Dies. FLEANCE escapes.

SCENE 3The witches cast a spell and then they tell both Macbeth and Banquo some good news. They tell Macth that he will become Thane of Cawdor and will then become king. They tell Banquo that his sons will be king.
SCENE 3The murders that Macbeth hired kill Banquo but Fleance escapes.

The word "dagger" links to death and killing someone. It is a very personal killing method and it is a stealthy way to kill someone but it also is brutal.

"Is this a dagger wich I see before me, The handle towards my hand? Come, let me cluth thee."

The fact that the dagger's handle is towards his could seem like it's his fate/destiny to kill with a dagger. Also, it could be there to guide him.

The verb "clutch" means to hold something very tightly. This could make this object important.

Act 3

SCENE 1Macbeth sees a knife floating in mid air. He sees this as a sign to kill Duncan and then goes to the Duncan's chambers.

Act 1

SCENE 4Macbeth holds a banquet for his lords and his friends. He then sees Banquo's ghost and acts really crazy. Lady Macbeth tries to stop people from worrying. The banquet is cut short.
SCENE 5Lady Macbeth mainly plots to kill Duncan so she can help Macbeth become king. She maily is the one planning to kill duncan as she thinks Macbeth is too loyal and kind to do it.

Act 2

"Milk" links to babies and weaknesss and being inocent of the world around you. This could mean that Macbeth is too weak and inocent to kill his friend.

"Fear" shows how she is frightened ,Macbeth which is the "nature", won't kill Duncan.

SCENE 2Macbeth forgets to leave the bloody dagger with the dead king so he and his wife set up the servants to make it look like they killed the king.

"Mirth" means the high spirits and jolly mood of the party that was happening.

"Displaced" means that Macbeth has gotten rid of the jolly mood.

"yet do i fear thy nature, It is too full o'th milk of human kindness to catch the nearest way."

"You have displaced the mirth, broke the good meeting With most admired disordery."

"Catch the nearest way" means do what is needed. This links to what I said about fear that Lady Macbeth thinks Macbeth won't do it and will be too scared.

This quote is talking about how Macbeth seeing Banquo's ghost and no one else being able to see it affected the mood of the party. Lady Macbeth then says how astonished she is on how he can ruin the parties mood. This seem a rude thing to say to your husband infrount of his friends but then it also shows how ood their reationship has become.

"Infirm of purpose! Give me the daggers. The sleeping and the dead are but as picture"

She says this with no hesitation right after reading the letter which makes me think that she has been think that Macbeth is loyal and kind through their marriage.
