The United Kingdom Education

By Ty Phillips

The UK early Education system is, in summary, a structured system from birth through secondary school that is taught by every level of education. Each level has its own standards and topics that need to be taught about and met.
Major Points
  • There are 5 Key Stages to the Education system.
  • The early education stages are called "Early Years" and "Stage 1".
  • The government sets different topics that are to be covered by each level.
  • The available "Early Years" schools are childminders, preschools, nurseries, and school receptions.
  • The "Early Years" is from ages 3-5 and "Stage 1" is from ages 5-7.
  • In the "Early Years" stage communication, speaking, and simple math are a few of the main topics covered.
  • In "Stage 1" english, math, science, and history are among the things taught to further the kids' education.
What They Do Better

The UK is great at making sure every one of their students, no matter the age, is getting the best and same education as everyone else.

The United kingdom

The United States OF America

The Government sends funds to the different states but the states decide what all the kids will learn.

The entire education system is run by the government and all schools no matter the age must follow and teach the same things.

Difference
Similarity

Both the UK and the US are very high up educationally in the world and focus a lot on trying to reach every kid in their country no matter their status.
