Holy Festival

L’Holy Festival è una festa di origine religiosa legata al culto di Krishna, una delle principali divinità indiane rappresentante la reincarnazione di Dio; si festeggia l’ultima luna piena di inverno. Krishna nasce bebè per sconfiggere un demone. Questo spirito maligno, per eliminarlo prima che cresca, fa uccidere tutti i bambini nati dai suoi genitori. Il fanciullo però per volere divino sopravvive. Il demone lo cerca, e fingendosi una nutrice (donna che allatta), tenta di ucciderlo con del latte avvelenato. Ma il bambino ancora una volta sopravvive, però la sua pelle a causa del veleno, diventa blu. Crescendo si vergogna un po’ di questa sua caratteristica, perché teme di essere preso in giro, soprattutto quando si innamora di una ragazza. Così per avvicinarsi a lei si inventa uno stratagemma: getta addosso ad entrambi tante polveri di colori diversi, per essere uguali. Da lì i due si conoscono e comincia la loro storia d’amore. Per questo durante la festa dell’ Holy ci si lanciano le polveri colorate. Dettaglio: il blu della pelle di Krishna, essendo un colore scuro, fa risaltare tutti i colori che gli cadono addosso => tutto quello che tu lanci a Dio, dedichi a Dio, viene amplificato (come ad esempio l’amore) È anche un richiamo all’UGUAGLIANZA.

Its name is believed to have been drawn from Persian: ‘taj’ meaning crown and ‘mahal’ meaning palace, thus making this the ‘palace of the crown’.

Lasciate raffreddare l’impasto, quindi avvolgetelo in un foglio di pellicola per alimenti e mettetelo a riposare in frigorifero per 12 ore. Tagliate l’impasto a fettine molto sottili. Disponete le chips su una teglia foderata con carta forno e cuocetele in forno ventilato a 60 °per un’ora. Lasciate riposare per un’altra ora. Scaldate l’olio di semi in un wok. Quando avrà raggiunto una temperatura tra i 150 e i 180 °, immergete le chips finché non risulteranno gonfie e friabili.

PREPARAZIONE Lavate i gamberetti e asciugateli con carta da cucina, quindi tritateli finemente. Trasferite in una ciotola, incorporate la farina di tapioca e salate.
