  • "I can say that when I was struggling with anxiety and depression, I could completely change my mood by listening to her music in my room or in my car. I found comfort in the lyrics, especially songs that I could relate to."
  • They believe that if they didn't find this way to outlet their emotions, they may still be struggling with the mental health problems they had before.

I personally interviewed a student at BSU and asked them questions about pop music and its infuence on their mental health. All the information gathered is from their perspective and their thoughts.

This brings a new view into the conversation because it is personally done and not just research that is found online. It also matches and supports the research that is done on how music can be beneficial to mental health and your mood. It gives different insight and perspective on the topic because it was done on someone who is a BSU student like me.
