1. Expectations

Expectations are something that we as a society have to deal with every day, projections of what people expect of us and what we expect of ourselves.

2. Peer/Societal pressure

When you are in school you are trying to discover yourself, as well trying to fit in among peers. The thing is that when you put a couple of hundred teenagers trying to navigate through life, there are some downsides to it.

Discover

  • Discovering yourself;
  • Lost of creativity.

3. Burnout:

It can be really hard to have a good life/work balance, especially when you get to high school, this can all cause students to burn out.

4. Movie Comparison:

In the short film we saw a little boy and his father navigate to what life is nowadays.

In conclusion ...

Discovering Yourself

The pressure to discover what you want to do, the person you want to be while also trying your best to fit in and try to match what society expects of you can really be exhausting.

The pressure we put in ourselfs:

Above all, we also have ourselves keeping ourselves accountable. It is not rare that people try to push themselves to pursue careers they are not fond of just because they think that is what they should do, or compare themselves to others accomplishments.

Parents pressure

Our parents job should be to guide us to life, they were also put under the pressure they put on us, even though they believe sometimes that they are doing what is best for us, this generational trauma can very easily turn in to a bad kind of pressure, not allowing every individual to shine on their own way.

School Pressure

Everyday in school people tell us what we need to do and accomplish, and the subjects that we need to shine more on. Every person is different, everyone has different methods of learning and oftentimes don’t do so well in school, not because they aren’t as bright, but because they do not benefit from what school expects of us.

Lost of criativity

It is very unfortunate but also very usual for people, when faced with all the factors we stated prior to starting to lose their imagination and creativity.
