WHAT IS A BOOK TRAILER?

It can include:

• Relevant reviews and comments from critics, authors or newspapers.
• Positive adjectives to describe the story: incredible, amazing, interesting, romantic...
• A synopsis that is short and interesting, but doesn’t give many details about the plot.

CAREFUL!!! It does not make spoilers.

• Questions to the audience: Do you like reading? / What do you know about William Shakespeare? / Did you know that Romeo and Juliet has connections to the present?
• Call to Action: What are you waiting for? Go and read Romeo and Juliet.

A book trailer is a short and promotional video that introduces a book in a way that makes people want to read it.

STEP BY STEP

1. Choose a book
2. Do a brainstorming nd planning of the main ideas of the book. You can use the template that the teacher gives you.
3. Write the script. You can write it on the video or record your voices.
4. Choose some images, videos and music.
5. Go to the video editing tool (Canva) and create your book trailer.
6. Double-check the video. Use the assessment rubric to make sure it includes all the parts.
7. Upload your book trailer to the padlet.

Step 1

Buscar un vídeo o imatge de fons no massa detallat que reflecteixi l'estat d'ànim i entorn de l'obra. Podeu usar unes de les plantilles que proposa CANVA a 'Book trailer' o crear la vostra proposta.

Step 2

Inserir imatge, portada del llibre i text de venda. Feu servir alguna cosa com “Read it today!” or “Just released!”

Step 3

Inserir la informació essencial del llibre: titre, autor, editorial... Es pot afegir-hi comentaris de crítics positius.

Step 4

Col·locar el text (o veu). Trieu l'estil de lletra i el color i després col·loqueu el text. Utilitzareu aquest text de posició i mida per a tot el tràiler. Col·locar qualsevol imatge o video com a base del text. Utilitzar l'eina de transparència per deixar que una mica del vídeo de fons es mostri a través de les vostres imatges.

Step 5

Triar la transició fent clic entre dues diapositives. Utilitzeu la mateixa transició entre totes les diapositives. Això manté la unitat i el flux en un vídeo tan curt. Comprovar que cada diapositiva tingui la temporització adequada per llegir o veure el vídeo, el text o l'àudio.

Step 6

Introduir l'audio. A Canva, pots cercar per estat d'ànim com ara fosc, misteri o feliç, corrent. La pista d'àudio apareixerà a sota de la pista de vídeo. Si és massa llarg, podeu retallar-lo. Si és massa curt, agafeu el final i arrossegueu fins al final de les diapositives. Canva té una sincronització de ritmes que farà que les teves diapositives canviïn al ritme de la música. És possible que vulgueu o no utilitzar-lo. També podeu pujar el vostre propi àudio.

Step 6

Per utilitzar els vostres audios, videos o imatges, clicar en 'subir'.
