Geopolitics:
The study of how geography and power interact to influence international relations. It focuses on the distribution of resources, political borders, trade agreements, and international conflicts. Geopolitics can affect access to healthcare, influence environmental policies, impact food security, and water quality.
Sustainable Development:
The ability to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It is based on social equity, environmental protection, and economic prosperity. Sustainable development promotes healthy environments, improves access to resources like clean water and sanitation, reduces poverty, and inequality.
Determinants of Health:
The various factors that influence individual and community health outcomes. They include social determinants such as income, education, and housing; biological factors such as genetics and age; environmental factors such as pollution and climate change; and access to healthcare. Determinants of health shape individual health vulnerabilities, access to preventive care and treatment, and influence disease risk factors.
