Who? Mohammad, a little boy.Where? Syria, a place where thousand of children are like Mohammad. Precisely in Assukari neighborhood of eastern Aleppo. When His life changed? In 2012, when his father left him and his family. What Happened? He dropped out of school with his sister to help his mother
He started working in a blacksmithing workshop all the mornings, His employer wouldn't change his working hours so he
changed job to tile setter so he could come back to school.
This programm, designed for children who couldn't attend school or missed out on years of education
Whats is the purpose? To catch up with their peers in half the required time
UNICEF secured also a job for Mohammad's mother
hazardous work can causes:
- death
- serious illness
- injuries
- permanent disability
- psichological damage
Beacuse of the unregulated conditions in wich children work. They are often made to work for long hours, without food, with very low wages
Some of the most common types:
- debt bondage
- sex trafficking
- armed conflict
- forced criminal activities
- mining
- factory work
- domestic work
Child labour disrupts a child's education and it amages their health
