A school is an educational institution that provides learning spaces for students to learn from teachers. Schools teach students the basics of life, how to survive, and values and principles that help children develop. They also provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life. Schools are organized spaces purposed for teaching and learning. The classrooms where teachers teach and students learn are of central importance.  A school can be an organization that provides instruction, such as: • An institution for teaching children • A college or university • An institution for instruction in a particular field or skill

objectives

specific

Educational buildings are structures that provide spaces for learning, teaching, and other educational activities. The design and planning of educational buildings are influenced by factors such as the location, site, buildings, architectural design, structural design, furnishing and equipment, and outdoor facilities. The architecture of educational buildings depends on the users who are between the ages of 3 to 22 years. The curriculum typically includes subjects like language arts, math, science, social studies, and physical education.

Create a safe, comfortable, and stimulating environment for students and teachers.

Reflect the cultural, social, and environmental context of the community.

Support the delivery of quality education and the achievement of learning outcomes.

Promote the sustainability and resilience of the education sector.

Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of educational management and administration.

The nature of educational building

The space and layout of the classrooms, corridors, halls, and other areas, and how they facilitate interaction, collaboration, and flexibility. The ventilation, temperature, acoustics, and lighting of the learning spaces, and how they affect the comfort, health, and wellbeing of the users. The outdoor facilities and landscaping of the school grounds, and how they provide opportunities for recreation, physical activity, and connection with nature. The architectural design and aesthetic of the building, and how they reflect the identity, values, and culture of the school and the community.

The nature of educational building is the way that the physical environment of a school or other learning space affects the quality and outcomes of education. Educational buildings should be designed to meet the needs and preferences of the users, such as students, teachers, and staff, as well as the goals and objectives of the curriculum and the community. Educational buildings should also be responsive to the natural, cultural, and social context of the location, and promote the sustainability and resilience of the education sector. Some of the aspects that define the nature of educational building are:

Concise History of primary school

Early Days in Australia: The first primary school in Australia was conducted in the Moreton Bay settlement of New South Wales (NSW) in 1826 by Mrs. Esther Roberts, a soldier’s wife. It was administered by the Anglican Church. Many subsequent schools were short-lived private establishments with high fees and low standards. In 1848, the NSW government established National Schools, offering secular education and non-denominational scripture lessons.

Emphasis on the ‘Whole Child’: Over time, primary education evolved to address broader social needs, reflecting a concern for the holistic development of children

Board of General Education (1860–1875): After Queensland became a separate colony from NSW, the Education Act of 1860 created the Board of General Education. This board administered primary schools, combining elements from both National and Denominational Boards. The curriculum included reading, writing, grammar, geography, object lessons, scripture, and mathematics.

Advantages and Disadvantage of the site

It has two roads which is preferable for the school

The neighborhood isn’t clean

Dust and pollution from roads

It’s near hospitals for any emergency

It has a good light and air

There are no established

Near to the center of the town

Not near the fire station

Near to the national airport

Near to the shop center

It is a mostly residential area

Near to the port of mogadishu

it is in a quiet area and there is no any factorys nearby

Most of the classrooms will be built towards the south to direct the windows and take advantage of the cold air

The sports fields were oriented towards the north to take advantage of the building’s shade in the morning and because it is the point with the coolest air

we decided that this will be the most suitable place for the offices sense it's the most quiet place

The building was built in the center because it is the place with the least noise and is generally affected less by the surroundings

we decided to make the play area to make it as far as possible from the offices and classrooms, so they don't face any distractions

The main door will be facing south, close to the main street

Planning Indicators

  • We decided to have two entrances to reduce crowding due to the street area not exceeding 6 metres
  • we are building the class rooms plock in the centre of the space cause the study quality will be better in an insulated space.

Tip: Interactivity is the key to capturing the interest and attention of your audience. A genially is interactive because your audience explores and engages with it.

Good: 90% of the information we assimilate comes through our eyes and, furthermore, we retain 42% more information when the content is moving. When conducting a presentation, we must pursue two objectives: transmitting information and avoiding boredom. To achieve this, it can be a good practice to create an outline and use words that will be engraved in the minds of your audience. When carrying out a presentation, you have to pursue two objectives: conveying information and avoiding yawns. To achieve this, it can be a good practice to create an outline and use words that engrave in the minds of your audience. If you want to provide additional information or develop the content in more detail, you can do so through your oral exposition. We recommend that you train your voice and rehearse: the best improvisation is always the most practiced one! Remember to add animation! Capture the attention of your audience with your content and choose the ideal effect by selecting the element and clicking on the Animation icon, which appears just above.

With Genially templates you can include visual resources to leave your audience speechless. You can also highlight specific phrases or data that will be engraved in the memory of your audience and even embed external content that surprises: videos, photos, audios... whatever you want! What you're reading: interactivity and animation can make the most boring content become something fun. At Genially, we use AI (Awesome Interactivity) in all our designs, so you can level up with interactivity and turn your content into something that adds value and hooks. Need more reasons to create dynamic content?
