Ways to Add Decimals

You can use different strategies to add decimals.
Hundredths Grids
Adding Using Place Values
Add numbers in the same place value together. Add the tenths together.
0.8 + 0.2
8 tenths + 2 tenths = ten tenths 10 tenths = 1 whole
