Procedures
Descriptions of specific activities, stating the responsibilities and means to obtain the desired results. Procedures for key shipboard/shore-side operations and activities are to be found in various Work Aids, Manuals, plans and Instructions.
Work Instructions
Forms, checklists, placards and notices, as appropropriate, to assist in carrying out various operations and procedures. These documents also serve as evidence of compliance of the company's policies and procedures after they have been duly coompleted.
Records
Systematically kept records of SMS related documents such as certificated, reports, forms and checklists, etc. Procedure for record-keeping is necessary for future reference, and to prove implementation of the company's SMS.
