Quand on imagine une situation qui a peu de chance de se réaliser (par exemple, devenir millionaire), on utilise une phrase conditionnelle. Cette phrase est composée : d’une proposition commençant par if avec un verbe au prétérit c’est la condition, d’une proposition avec l’auxiliaire would suivi d’une base verbale c’est la conséquence ex. If I travelled to Ireland next year, I would be very happy. Attention - Lorsqu’on utilise le conditionnel, be devient toujours were (jamais was).
