Adesività

Una protesi mobile non presenta alcun elemento pilastro cui agganciarsi. Per questo la sua stabilità all’interno della bocca è dato dal'adesività della protesi (sussione) che è dato dal sigillo marginale . Essa, infatti, deve adattarsi in maniera ottimale a tutte le condizioni in cui il paziente si trovi ad utilizzarla. Nel momento in cui una protesi, invece, dovesse perdere aderenza a causa del tempo o del naturale riassorbimento di osso e gengiva – rendendo necessario l’utilizzo di un adesivo.

Nulla deve essere toccato con le mani nude senza essere stato immerso nella soluzione disinfettante. I materiali non compatibili sono: poliammide e poliuretano alifatico. Nel caso della disinfezione di materiali da impronta a base alginica, si consiglia di utilizzare il disinfettante puro ed immergerci le impronte lasciandola agire per 1 minuto. Questo perché essendo l’alginato un materiale idrofilo, si permette di avere una disinfezione dell’impronta in 1 solo minuto senza causare modifiche all’impronta stessa. All’interno del laboratorio esiste un’isola adibita alla disinfezione così composta: 1) Una base di lavoro lavabile 2) Disinfettanti 3) Vaschetta di plastica o vetro da 1 a 3 lt. 4) Un timer 5) Un pulitore per protesi 6) Guanti Monouso 7) Mascherine
