Communicative Learning Objective By the end of the lesson, students will be able to tell and compare stories by using the vocabulary and structures they learned in unit five in order to present a personal story.

Activities

1. Write a story that seems impossible but is true. 2. In groups choose one of the stories and make it exagerated. 3. Present the story to the class.

Believe it or not

Believe it or not is a common phrase that English speakers use when they tell a story that seems unbelivable but is actually true.

Time to speak

Individually think of something surprising or amusing that happened to you recently or a long time ago.

You can use the ideas below to helpyou, or think of your own ideas.

Discuss

In groups of 4 students share your stories and answear the question: Which story is the most amazing?

DECIDE

  • Totally made-up.

PREPARE

PRESENT

At the end of each story, others in the class ask questions to try to discover if the story is totally true, exaggerated, or totally made-up.
