Importance of ongoing learning
Engaging in ongoing learning opportunites is crucial for educators in developing knowledge and skills that are aligned with local and state standards. According to Robinson, Lai, and Biggs (2016), continuous learning ensures educators stay current with evolving standards and practices, enabling them to effectively address the needs of all of our students. When educators continue to develope their knowledge through professional development opportunities they are deepening their understanding of subject matter and instructional strategies. A schools ultimate goal is to achieve maximum student outcomes and to do so, educators must participate in ongoing practices that facilitate the implementation of evidence-based practices (Robinson, et al., 2016).
