The TAsk

It will be a long math problem or story to read. You will answer several questions and show your work! Most importantly, SHOW YOUR WORK and thinking.

Directions

There will be directions. Be sure to read carefully two to three times and understand what it is asking.

Or some background knowledge for the problems you will solve

And more information and questions to answer along the way. Performance tasks are usually in two parts. Part one has to be complete before moving on to part two. Make sure all your part one questions are complete and you did your best.

Essay

YES! You heard that correctly. There is an essay even for math performance tasks. It is important to answer it thoroughly with as much on-topic detail as possible and show your work, too!

Reread your work before submitting

Just like writing an essay in class. It is important to read and edit your written work. Double check that you answered all the questions asked. Feel confident that you did your very best. Be proud!
