Understand the purpose of your EAP course and how it is assessed

by the end of the lesson, you will be able to:

Distinguish the features of Academic English

Understand what is, how to find and how to use an academic source

Apply research skills to your own research

Read the handbook introduction and Unit 2 section and answer:

What is research and why is it important? How will learning research strategies help you? What are the learning objectives for unit 2? How will unit 2 support future employment?

What will this module prepare you for? What are some of the key EAP skills that you will develop on this course? How much of your learning should be independent learning and how much should be structured and classroom based?

The systematic exploration of ideas and their values in helping us to interpret the world around us. This is important because it is part of developing a greater understanding of your own subject

They will help you to explore the work of other creative artists and to analyse characteristics, content and meaning, integrating this into your own projects and communicating this to others.
