ZERO CONDITIONAL

¿PARA QUE SIRVE?

• Se emplea para realizar afirmaciones sobre el mundo real y suele referirse a hechos generales que damos por ciertos, como los hechos científicos.

EJEMPLO:

If you heat the water, it boils.

(Si calientas el agua hierve.)

FIRST CONDITIONAL

¿PARA QUE SIRVE?

• Para hablar de acontecimientos del futuro que son probables en una situación determinada.

EJEMPLO:

If you study, you will learn something.

(Si tu estudias, aprenderás algo.)

SECOND CONDITIONAL

¿PARA QUE SIRVE?

• Sirve para hacer referencia a una condición hipotética o poco probable y a su resultado probable.

EJEMPLO:

If I were rich, I would travel more.

(Si fuera rico, viajaría más.)

THIRD CONDITIONAL

¿PARA QUE SIRVE?

• Se refiere a una condición imposible, situada temporalmente en el pasado, y a su resultado probable en el pasado.

EJEMPLO:

If they had practiced the song, they would have won the contest.

(Si hubieran practicado la canción, habrían ganado el concurso.)

FIRST CONDITIONAL

ZERO CONDITIONAL

EJEMPLOS

If it rains, the backyard gets wet. (Si llueve, el patio se moja.)

The backyard gets wet If it rains. (El patio se moja si llueve.)

FIRST CONDITIONAL

EJEMPLOS

If it rains, I won't go to the park. (Si llueve, no iré al parque.)

I won't go to the park If it rains. (No iré al parque si llueve.)

SECOND CONDITIONAL

EJEMPLOS

If you had invited me, I would have gone. (Si me hubieses invitado, yo habría ido.)

I would have gone If you had invited me. (Yo habría ido si me hubieses invitado.)

THIRD CONDITIONAL

EJEMPLOS

If he had studied harder, he would have passed the exam. (Si hubiera estudiado más, habría aprobado el examen).

He would have passed the exam If he had studied harder.(Habría aprobado el examen si hubiera estudiado más).
